Ah, the joys of living in the moment! At times it can seem hard to step away from our thoughts and worries about the past or future.
But this phrase – ‘inhale the future and exhale the past’ – is a helpful reminder to us that there’s more to life than ruminating on what was or could be.
We must focus on being present and enjoying where we are right now. Of course, that isn’t always easy; so why not make small changes?
For example, learn something new every day! Pick up a hobby you’ve been wanting to try for ages, surprise yourself with some new sources of information online and try out different recipes at home.
This will help keep your mind open by indulging your curiosity which is key in understanding how things work around us creating an appreciation for all that life offers each day.
Living this way may also mean going back occasionally when necessary but don’t let nostalgia take over – instead draw lessons from memories into actionable steps that bring joy today rather than entertaining gloomy recollections of yesterday just-for-the-sake-of it!
So go ahead, put down those dusty old photos (metaphorically speaking!) and breathe… inhaling opportunity – expelling regret ! 🙏
